Tooth decay: Everything you didn’t know about seemingly “innocent” drinks!
Tooth decay refers to the destruction of tooth enamel due to chemical or mechanical factors. Eating foods or drinks that have a high acid content, such as citrus fruits, can cause damage to the teeth. Habits such as drinking fruit-flavored tea, or the well-known antioxidant hot water with lemon, can increase the risk of tooth decay by up to 11 times. Also, soft drinks like Cola should be consumed in moderation. An additional factor is acid reflux.
So, we pay attention to what we consume, we have better dental -and not only- health!
