Cryosurgery is an effective treatment of several skin diseases of short duration and without preceding local anesthesia.
The therapeutic effect depends on the cooling time, the cooling cycles carried out as well as on the healing capacity of the applied area.
It is usually excellent in addition to treating cancerous lesions, in which case it remains a whiter area – scar, due to the more prolonged cooling.
The above method is considered reliable and safe however, it is a major issue to have a correct documented diagnosis before proceeding to the local destruction of the tissues.
